  I can't link my accounts! Sadness...

  Hi guys!
  I've been a member here for over a year! And I'd totally forgotten this place existed - and now I've found this group and am worrying that I found it too little too late.
  I'm trying to link my Shelfari account to my Amazon account. Everytime I try it tells me I'm not entering the right name and password in Amazon. Bullox. I double checked by logging out, making sure I could log in under my own power, and trying again with the name and password I knew was correct.
  See, I want the coveted author badge. I'm not much of an author, but the badge is shiny and I really want one. But my birthday is months away so I figure I have to go get it myself.

  You might have another( forgotten) Amazon account. I did. Took weeks and weeks but a person at Amazon was able to help me. On phone.

  Hi Katrina--It is possible to have multiple Amazon accounts that use the same email but different passwords. However, I'm showing that your current profile (http://www.shelfari.com/spearcarrier ) was created using an Amazon account. Do you have an older Shelfari profile you're trying to link to?

  Hi guys: thanks for your replies.

  I've only ever had the one Amazon account all these years. I guess I could make a phone call; the folks at Amazon are usually pretty nice and helpful. But I'm sincerely doubting there's a second accouint.

  I didn't know I could log in through Author Central. I only just set that part of up a couple of months ago... but judging by what I'm reading in the FAQ if I do it that way yet another account will be opened up for me here! Well, I was reminded of Shelfari because oif Author Central.This is a big mess!

    I was also not able to link my accounts. If you go to your Author Central in Amazon, click on one of your books, click on Book Extras, and then click on the link to "visit Shelfari", you should be set. I did this and got my shiny badge.
