  2 of the same on shelf

  I've experienced that if I add a new cover to a book I have already added to my shelf, I can't delete the first one. Instead it says that I have two editions of the book. What to do?

  Yep - that is the way it works. If you apply a cover to an existing edition, this won't happen. If you add a cover (and want that cover to display on your shelf in addition to your already selected edition), Shelfari considers that to be another edition.

  If, however, your selected edition doesn't have a cover, you can apply that cover to that edition and you will not be considered to have 2 of them.

  I'm having the same problem, but I can't even delete the book outright and start over, which is what I really want to do at this point... I've tried removing it under every possible view, but no matter what I do it's always still there. It doesn't even show up in My Editions when I go to the book's main page, so I'm not sure what the issue is. When I click the book on my shelf and hit Edit, the Loading Book Details pop-up comes up but just hangs there indefinitey.

  Please, I just want this book gone!! ;)

  Flags of Our Fathers by James Bradley—which I do ultimately want on there, but yeah so weird that it's the only book I can't seem to make any changes to. Thanks for any help, Amanda!

    Thanks for the example! The book has the ADD button instead of EDIT (which it should have when you're viewing your own shelf), so I believe that's what's causing the issue with the constant spinner in the pop-up. I've notified our engineers so they can investigated.

    Great, thanks Amanda! I still can't seem to delete it somehow, so if there's any default way I'm missing I would like to do that and then just start fresh to avoid the duplication issue.
