    Amazon Keywords

I imported by collection from Amazon - but when the books were brought in, they did not include the Amazon keywords. Is there a way to bring those in?

Hi Memetic--When you import your Amazon purchases, it just pulls in the books not any other information associated with them. Out of curiosity, when you say "keywords" are those tags you've added to the books on Amazon or something else?

Sorry, I did mean Amazon tags - and I meant all that were in Amazon for my books, not just mine.

That was before I realized that there is no way to search on keywords in Shelfari.

We don't sync Amazon tags with Shelfari tags--at least not at this time.

Thanks all. Glad to find the keyword search. I guess I hadn't looked hard enough.

Sorry to be thick - but I've been back to My Shelf and the Advanced Search Screen and FAQs - and I know I must be missing it, but I can't find out how to search my shelf using keywords.

No problem :) You can sort your shelf by keywords (we call them "tags" on Shelfari) from your shelf. Click on one or more of the tags beneath your shelf and only the books with those tags will display on your shelf. You can unclick tags to remove them from your sort or click "clear" that appears next to the Your Tags header.

Thank you. I see it now. I hadn't really used the shelf view.

Is there a way to sort or select on tags while in list or bulk views? I downloaded over 700 books from amazon and have at least that many more to load from my library.

I would like to do mass edits.

Also, is there a way to change the results from tag selection from bookshelf view to list view while retaining just the subset of books that matched those tags?

When you're in the bulk edit view (of list view) you can add or remove tags on up to 150 books at a time. When you're in that view, you'd check specific books (or all, if relevant) and at the bottom of the page, add/remove the tags you wanted on those books. There isn't a great way to sort by tags in the list views or to maintain the view of only one set of tagged books and toggle between shelf and list view. Great suggestion, though!
