My work is contemporary, African American fiction, with a romantic edge. I focus on developing contemporary female characters who are bold, brave, and brilliant--even when they don't know it. My work is entertaining and exciting, but also edifying and educational. It's sassy and sexy, but also sophisticated and smart. I focus on serious character development, family, values, community involvement, and plot. If you are looking for good, smart fiction...this is it. BIO:
A native of Long Island, Grace Octavia is a graduate of New York University, who is completing her PhD in English at Georgia State University. A proud sister of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, she is also a member of the Sigma Tau Delta National English Honor Society. The former editor of Rolling Out Urbanstyle Weekly, she teaches writing at Georgia State University. She lives in Kirkwqood, Atlanta
