Hi Gretchen, Haven't figured this out yet but just haven't had time to try---hope to eventually--I just began State of Wonder by Ann Patchett---recent books include The beginner's goodbye by Tyler, The Lost: searching for six of the six miillion by Mendelsohn, The paris Wife, Caleb's crossing by Brooks, When summer's in the meadow by Breen and Williams etc. Will call Ellene today.
Hullo,Missus! Sorry so little time to chat at TROL, but it ain't what it used to be. What is?
Reading Umberto Eco's THE PRAGUE CEMETERY and finding it fun, so far.
Last Sunday's puz was a pushover I needed after some recent posers!
Best to you and Al, from your friend Raymond R.
I loved the new Shelock Holmes by Anthony Horowitz (Foyle's War). I think you would like it as well. Hope all is well and you are enjoying your Florida time. See you soon.

Gretchen - Hope all is well. As I said on the phone, let me know if you need me to bring you anything from the library. My best recent read is Please Look After My Mom - I just got Vaclav and Lena and am looking forward to starting it. Talk to you soon.

"Places!" Then urgent and hurried whispers as the cast assume positions before the lights come up and the make-believe begins:
"Break a leg!" But how now? Reality raises its uncouth head and our Old Trout is out with a pin in a fin? 'Taint funny, not here nor
in West Wistful Vista! Nevertheless, one hopes to diminish the discomfort... with maybe a chortle?
Hello, missus!
Your friend,
Raymond R.
Oh my... you posted your comment to me 4 months ago,I am so sorry I did not see it sooner! I would love to join in your group read...guess I am too late:(
Hello Gretchen - Hope you are starting to feel better. I just added Vaclav and Lena to my request list. Thanks for the suggestion. Your book came in, About Grace, I am assuming that was a Ray R recommendation. See you soon.

I did not have it on my Nook, and it was extremely heavy!! I liked it, but it got a little tedious. I am reading My Name is Mary Sutter now, and I love, love it!! It must be all the nursing and Albany references! What are you reading?
Regrets for the extended silence. I hope you & yours are all in the pink. My latest addiction is the Martha Grimes/Emma Graham series:
HOTEL PARADISE, COLD FLAT JUNCTION, BELLE RUIN, FADEAWAY GIRL.... HOOKED!
Regards,
Raymond R
Hi Gretchen,
I haven't used Shelfari in a long time but I am going to try to start using it. I'm sending you a friend request now.
Talk about [being driven to] distraction--what about the last puz?
And I say, isn't it a long time between teas?
Your friend, Raymond R
Hullo, old trout!
I think the book is EX LIBRIS, by Anne Fadiman. And I think I had it on request from another library but sent it back unread because I knew I was overbooked.
Your friend, Raymond R
Sweetness at the bottom of the pie is one of the books I chose for the book discussion group at TPL!
