I'm a free-spirited, intellectual bookwork/geek with a severely gothic flair. I'm a dark Pagan.I live in Austin, Texas. (there are two people that I actually KNOW on this site. One is my mom Pampe and the other is my friend pheonixphyre.)
I love living in Austin because it induces my creativity for art and whatever else I do creatively. I've done some amazing new pieces in the nearly five years I've been here. I've also made some pretty awsome friends. I'm a pagan, but a pretty spiritual one. The goddess should be acknowledged at every opportunity. I don't always follow this advice, but I try to when I can.
I've been through a lot in my life, including the death of my husband over decade ago, but now I'm chosing to be happy. Happiness is mostly a choice. I'm a bona-fide Sci fi, horror, fantasy and gamer geek. I read constantly, however it doesn't stop me from enjoying movies and my favorite Tv shows... most of them within my chosen genres.
I learned to read and appreciate reading as a favorite passtime very early in life. I learned good habits from my parents who are avid readers as well. I have a policy that I will not be around people who don't read too much. I have nothing in common with nor will I date a man who won't read. Honestly I have no friends that don't read either. Reading and learning furthers your knowlege, fuels your imagination and increases your vocabulary. I cannot stand people who don't want to better themselves. Reading will do that.
I studied to be an art teacher in college so I think that imagination is as important as knowledge and it can show in your reading choices, as well.
My website for my art is http://gothcat.deviantart.com/gallery/
