I am so glad you agree with me about Jhumpa Lahiri's writing! I read through the other reviews and nobody else seems to have picked up the repetitive quality in this collection. I so hope she comes up with something new next time....she is too good a writer to stay with just this one theme.
i loved the first story in kunal basu's book which is about the japanese wife. the rest of the stories aren't exactly holding my attention. i am hooked on tolstoy's anna karenina now.the india book you plan to read is very good. i read in last year when i was making frequent trips to delhi. the guy at shankar's at the airport recommended it!
