I probably spend more time at Flixster than anywhere else.
I am happily married to a most wonderful and charming man. He's the one who gave me the funny nickname of goober. Sometimes my mouth gets ahead of my brain and/or I react without thinking, hence he calls me Goober. It's all with love, so it's quite endearing.
Reading is how I spend my quiet time. I've been employed with a local department of Social Services for over seventeen years. I'm currently a caseworker in the Food and Nutrition Services unit. After spending most of the day talking with clients and using a computer, I still enjoy coming home and visiting many online forums. After chores and shopping on the weekends, the hubby and I generally watch some movies on DVD. Once I turn in for the night, my books become my getaway to a peaceful world. They help keep me grounded in this marvelous universe of ours.
Outside of our wonderful live at home, the hubby and I enjoy visiting the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. Our vacation is normally planned in the fall which is when we were married. We love returning to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Townsend area of Tennessee. Aside from the hubby, books are the best companion when traveling.
We spend so much time watching movies, we recently invested in an HDTV, which we love. With the added up-converting DVD player, Blu-ray player and a 7.1 audio/video receiver and speaker set-up, we're enjoying movies at home more than most enjoy them at the cinema. If you love movies, high definition equipment is the only way to go.
