A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.

Hi, Goldmoon! We have at least 6 books in common!
I am writing because I'm doing a doctoral dissertation on women with backgrounds in Mormonism who replace (or supplement) Mormonism with, for instance, witchcraft and/or other beliefs and spiritual practices. I'd love to interview you and to generally get to know you better!
Cheers and Happy Solstice,
Hi, I have a million books I want to read, that one is on the top of my list! A sure to be fabulous as all her books are. Though, none of them top The Bean Trees for me. Happy Birthday or Belated Birthday which ever is the case. If you get a chance, let me know how you liked the book.
I just started a new group, Vegetarian and Organic Food Fanatics. I think you'd be a perfect addition to this group. We can and will discuss all aspects of vegetarianism and sustainable, organic food--including tasty recipes.
Come on by if you'd like!
Hello!! Sorry I'm so late with this!
I wanted to welcome you to A Gathering of Goddesses group!! Please feel free to jump in any time! We'd love to get to know you better!
I love your shelf...we have several books in common. My Goddess quest has led me to explore Witch craft (not even sure if that's how you refer to it?!?!?) and I've made several connections here with other Witches who are kindly (and patiently!!) guiding me.
There's so much in your profile that I relate to...I'd love to chat more!
Have a great day!! ~Claire
