I enjoy fiction and non-fiction. My favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut. I have a book out called The Long-Timers which is currently available at online booksellers Borders and Barnes and Noble.

Hey, You must have noticed that I accepted your friend request nearly after six months. That, my friend, was not out of arrogance or indifference, but purely due to negligence, as I had almost forgotten about my shelfari account due to work pressures. I am glad to be on your friend network. I can see you are quite a bibliophile. I would love to hear from you about the books on my shelf and your recommendations.
Nice to be in touch. Ciao!

By the way, since you noted that Vonnegut is your favorite writer, have you ever tried any books by Christopher Moore? There are many ways in which he's similar to Vonnegut-- particularly in the way that you keep running into his various characters throughout the books, sometimes in amazing ways.

Hey, G Matt! Did you ever get out to the Shakespeare Tavern like you planned? You just missed all 3 HENRY VI plays, which we did in November. The next one I'll be in is ROMEO AND JULIET as Friar Lawrence in February. HAMLET's coming back this spring, and I know I'll be in it, but not sure as what. I'm hoping to return to Polonius, whom I haven't played in a few years. I'm sure I'll at least be doubling as one of the Gravediggers. --By the way, that production of OF MICE AND MEN that I mentioned earlier? I got nominated for a Suzi Bass Award for my portrayal of Candy. Didn't win, but a lot of folks told me "You wuz robbed!"

This is VERY interesting! Who were your ancestors? Do you know much about them? My specialty is Renaissance drama, and there's much musical involvement on stage. I'm kenly interested in this!

    Hey Gmatt63,
I love Vonnegut--Sirens of Titan most of all.
    Want to be my friend?
I am a boring university prof. who has renaissance, especially drama, under her belt, and loves and teaches sci-fi.

Hi! I'm just snooping around. Believe it or not, according to your Shelfari shelves we've only two books in common. I KNOW that's not correct.
