    MzQueen,
I can understand why Weeping Willows Dance is not your favorite-but it was my favorite book by Gloria. I think that when someone read that book who is in a relationship involving abuse-hopefully the light will go off and they will take a stand.

Congrads on being the winner for the 2007 National Best Books Award on the USA BookNews.com you deserve it!! I see that you made a comment about some folks not liking your book the Honey Well--that's one of my favorites--so I don't feel bad about Weeping Willows Dance being my only not favorite by you:) different strokes for different folks.

Why Thanks Gloria Mallette, for responding to my thought about Weeping Willows Dance. I love your books but this was sad and to be honest made me angry because it reminded me of my young life with a man much like your grandfather (mentally abusive). So I was actually the character in the book and reading and saying just leave you don't need him:) All Glory to God I finally left after fifteen years (twelve years of marriage) and was blessed with a Tom (reminds me of the man I'm married to now) wants nothing but the best for me and my children. Like I stated I love all your books and you are one of my favorite authors always looking for what is next from you---Weeping Willows Dance just wasn't the book for me per say but, it was a good read because it took me way back something I haven't thought about it years or felt in years, I felt through your grandmother and the things she went through. God Bless
