Oh, poor Pea. Is he better today? It always worries me when my cats stop eating. I hope is is back to his old self now. I am anxious to see his 2010 Xmas pose. What a little darling!
Do I need to start putting books in my shelf? I forgot to mention that I love Westens. Now don't scream. Larry McMurtry is one of my favorites. I also like Robert B. Parker. He wrote the Spencer for Hire books (also a TV show) but also writes westerns. The are great. I have one waiting for me when I finish New Moon.
Hi Lindz...I just signed in on this....I have not done anything like this before; I don't do FaceBook - no time. I will get with the program the more familiar I get with this. It is pretty cool.
As I mentioned Saturday night, I like historical fiction. Have you read any Phillippa Gregory? She writes about the Tudor, more spec. Henry VIII, Ann Boleyn, etc. Pretty interesting stuff I think.
I totally understand the need for an "ok" choice. I review on Amazon, and just recently started a blog strictly for my reviews on Blogspot called One Good Book Deserves Another (check it out if you want at www.one-good-book.blogspot.com), and the 3 stars in both of those places are "It's Ok" so I just figure the 3 stars as that for Shelfari, too, regardless. I'll occasionally add in a hall star rating and mention it in my review is something falls in between...and that's not at all uncommon.
As for the blistering...well...it IS Florida in July, so that sort of goes without saying, unfortunately. Still, it's better than snowbird traffic, I think.
I, too, was drawn to Shelfari because of the neat little bookshelf. It's a cute site and I've enjoyed using it to keep things straight. I read a ton and was having such a hard time keeping track of everything. I like how it automatically lists authors and series for the books on your shelf, even letting you know how many books in a series you have out of the number of books in the series in total. That's a great function for me.
Keep in touch and let me know how you like the Dragon Kin series, too. It's great to chat with a fellow book lover and avid reader.
Hey, Giraffkrzy! Thanks for the friend request, and thanks for commenting on my reviews. I look forward to perusing your shelf! I'm in Florida, too, Fort Myers, actually, so it's nice to meet up with someone who's in my neck of the continent. :)
