I'm a literary agent representing primarily nonfiction and a bit of suspense and mystery fiction. I'm also an author myself (thus, you can tell, sleep is but a dim fond memory). My most recent book, The Single Mother's Guide to Raising Remarkable Boys, was published in February 2008. Finally, I'm actively involved in building and supporting the writing community in my area of Connecticut, and have hosted the Connecticut Coast Writers Retreat and am looking to plan another for '09.
Though I have to read a great deal for work, I also try to complete a book a week for pleasure reading, and am extremely (exceedingly?) eclectic in my tastes.
In my personal life, I'm the single mom of three grown children, and grandmother to two young grandsons. In my spare time (?), I tend to rip apart my homes and then have difficulty finding the time necessary to complete the renovations. Sooner or later, I'll learn to only demolish one room at a time, but my boys did so love throwing things off the decks into the dumpsters, I didn't have the heart to stop them.
Our mountain home in the NorthWest Corner is also home to any number of black bears, deer, coyotes, moose, wolves and wild turkeys. They don't read, though some have shown a great fondness for the flavor of antique leather bindings.
