I started out reading a lot from the dictionary and encyclopedias. I would ask, "How do you spell ..." and I would always hear in response, "Go look it up in the dictionary." Well, that turned into intrigue and curiousity. Then, I would read my father's Reader's Digests and Popular Science magazines. Then, there came the whole Judy Blume and Nancy Drew series from the Scholastic Book Club we got in grade school. It was all over from there...I've read and read and read for years. Well, all that reading has turned into an addiction to books. I will buy a book and not read it for years, but I'll buy it. :) I love to read! My favorite fiction authors is Francis Ray.
Our book club, Kueleza has been blessed for years to receive reviewer's copies by many emerging authors from publicists that have kept me quite current on events as well as showcased new African American authors; it's been fantastic - Thank you Peggy.
When I read something good...I love to share and so my dear friend invited me to join Shelfari. Seeing it's all about sharing, I'm in!
