I see you were on today! Yay!!!! Hope your doing good. I have been tending to my farm and my restaurant on FB a lot lately, think I need to get to more reading! I just picked up The Stand and another book that is the first three of Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampire Series so I have a lot of reading to do!!!
Hey sorry for my delay in replying! This past week has been very busy for me at the temple. A lot of celebrations were taking place :). Congratulations landing the job! What kind of work are you doing, and how are you liking it? Just try to take one day at a time and hope for the best! That's all we can do and if we keep positive things will tend to work themselves out! Cool, I have a facebook too, you can look me up if you search for: Kamal Dhindaw :). Wow, its hard to think about having family you have never met. Its like you have to remind yourself to remember these people are family and treat them that way! I know the feeling hehehe. Are they your distant relatives? Hehehe, shower and snuggling are all good things we should make time for hehee. What kind of hours are you working? I admire your dedication and hope you get everything you are setting out for! Music is a universal language that everyone can appreciate in some way or another! Aww, sorry you had a mean instructor! What instrument were you learning? I know you dont have much time now, however, when you do get time in the future it might be something to take up again, I am sure your kids could get in to it too! I need music to get through my day and couldn't imagine a day without music! Wow, band manager huh? You should put that on your resume hehehe. I support local bands too because I can relate to their ambitions and passions! Some of them are very good! Do you have a favorite band? Lately I have been listening to a lot of silversun pickups in anticipation for their upcoming album! If you have never heard of them, youtube the following songs by them: three seed, lazy eye, little lover's so polite, and swoon (off their up coming album).Adjustment phase huh? I am sure it makes no difference to him as long as he gets his nourishment lol :). No dark circles is a good thing hehehe. Do you require a lot of sleep or can you get by with the bare minimum? I find that I can sleep a lot less provided I do a good deal of exercise hehehe. But in general I love my sleep :).Yeah my father is a veteran in the aerospace industry. He has weathered some nasty storms before and manages to come through! And despite the rain he seems to keep in good spirits! There is a big indian community in seattle and so he has company friends, and of course my mother hehehe.Yeah, anyone, after the last 8 years looks better hahaha. However, its pointless to point fingers, we need results! And Obama is doing his best to find an elegant solution out of this mess. I can only imagine how much stress that man has to deal with on a daily basis! Hopefull his administration will get the ball moving towards a greener and healthier future. We may be too late, however, i think we can still manage the problem provided we increase awareness and get a stronger push from our government! Recycling should be mandatory, and I can't believe its not! Yeah, the economy is certainly making people become smarter about where they are letting there money go. Hopefully, Americans will become wiser and learn how to secure their economic futures through smart habits!I have been experimenting lol! I find that people are generally responsive to smile. A smile seems to put them at ease and they are able to open up more. However, I find that smiling at females sometimes gives them the wrong idea lol and they are not so open hahaha. But a lot of people seem to smile back when you smile at them! Yeah, being able to control our body language probably has big pay offs in getting what we need from people! There are people who are experts on body language and can tell when someone is lying to them!I am just taking life day by day and trying to stay positive. It certainly helps to have friends and family supporting me! And you may not know it, but you are supporting me too with these lovely conversations! So thank you very much for that! Hope you had a enjoyable weekend. Good luck with your job! Talk to you soon!
Hey, been busy myself will reply soon! Hope you are well!
Yeah on the job!!! Good for you!!!! Woohoo. I think you will really like the book. It was a great read!
OMG I just finished P.S. I Love You! Wonderful!!! There are some differences of course but the essence of the book is in the movie and, wow, I really enjoyed it a lot!
A few good things! I have been reading Angela Hunt, Diann Hunt and Aeylet Waldman. Great fun books that let me escape for a but. I just started reading P.S. I love you by Celia Ahern. I loved the movie and the books is really food so far!
and by hats, i meant thats lolol. Unless you happen to have some amazing hats!
hahahaa no problem =). And yes I do appreciate your comments! There are so many more amazing things one could be doing as opposed to leaving me comments to read lol :P. Well that's cool that you are familiar with the area some what and that you have your aunt! Knowing where the fun spots are is like half the battle already :P. What do you like to do for fun, besides visiting 3 libraries :P lol ? You don't seem like anyone that would have problem making friends! You could just show em your tattoos and hats like a conversation and then some ;). Music is one of the greatest gifts humans have. Sound is so powerful and interacts with our bodies in amazing ways! I love Indian music (classical and some bollywood filmy) and I play various Indian percussion instruments. Overall I like anything that is pleasing to my ears and that ranges from rap, r&B, country, rock, indie, metal, jazz, you name it! I was in an indie rock band in highshcool/early college. I play the bass guitar and did some vocals here and there. Soon I will be picking up the acoustic guitar and piano!Does your son sleep through most of the night? I am sure he does as he grows. Sky diving looks fun but the hardest part will be jumping out hahahah, at least for the first time. On the other hand, Seattle is developing pretty rapidly. I would say in a 5-10 years time its going to be a different place! My dad is working on the boeing 787 plane. That plane is going to be pretty awesome! I think the economy will improve in time. Obama's plan will most definitely have some effect. I admire that man for taking up all the mess from the past 8 years. I can only imagine how daunting his position must really be hahahaa. But then again being president does have its perks!Green is definitely in our future. We have to clean up our environment to have any hope of a bright future! Investing in green technology is one way to stimulate the economy! That communication book is mostly pretty common sense type things. It seems to have a lot of confidence in the ability of a smile to get you into more conversations. I think, however, that the response a smile get varies from person to person. I have gotten both welcoming and unwelcoming responses hahaha. The book did get me paying attention to my body language more!Yeah I am trying my best to enjoy the now even though the then was so amazing. Its sad to lose someone you love that much. She passed away much too young. I mean meeting her has made me a different person and definitely a better person. I guess that's what first love does to you! The most amazing part about that relationship was how well we connected to one another. I mean I could read her mind practically and she could read mind. Its almost like we could have a conversation without actually speaking. lol you probably think we were psychics. Nevertheless, although I do miss her and the pains of separation do hit me daily, I am not letting it stop me from enjoying the now because she didn't want for me and I promised her I would move forward. And besides my Hindu beliefs makes me inclined to say i may meet her again some day :P!Wow sugar farms huh? That sounds like a very fun and tasty day! Now you have got me hungry! I was in houston and went on a factory tour of the bluebell ice cream company. That was fun! At the end we all got to sample lots of ice cream! If you have a chance, try to score an ice cream factory tour. Fun for everyone, because everyone loves ice cream! My weekend was fun: Played some intense games of basketball at the park and rented a bollywood movie :P. Today spent time teaching people indian percussion and then went to the temple =). I hope you have a good start to the week and will hear from ya when I am hear from ya! Take care!
LOL, he is great! Always gave me a really good laugh! How are ya'll doing?
hahaha, don't worry about the spelling i usually dont notice. I am guilty of making a lot of spelling/grammatical errors when I comment. But its not like we are getting graded :P. Besides, you are a very busy mom and I appreciate the time you do take to respond to my comments =)!I am sure your daughter will get adjusted in due time. Kids will be kids and unfortunately that entails being teased and teasing others! I am not sure that changes much as we get older. As adults, our teasing usually occurs when the person being teased is not around hahaha! I am glad things are looking up for you! Are you new to the area yourself? If so, have you made some friends? Are you being teased on the playground lol? jk jk :).Yep, the plan is to blow my management away with my super excellent performance and get huge bonuses and then longer vacation times :P. The problem with being new is that I accumulate time off hours at a very slow rate. I get something like 1.53 hours every week lol. Corporate America is not too crazy about vacation days. We lag behind several nations in that category hahahaha. Meditation does indeed help along with music and the company of friends. I am sure having kids changes your world. You do have to be careful for your kids because they need their mommy! I think I would be nervous too if I were standing right on the edge of a cliff hahahaha. I wonder if sky diving makes you lose your fear of heights hahahaha ;). When I do see the rain forest I will definitely capture the moment with my camera and you will be on my list of people to send the photos too :). You have to really love the rain to be in Washington. A few friends of ours live out there and they were so depressed because of the rain. Furthermore, a lot of washington is still under development. So for a while it was quite lonely out there from what i have been told. My dad is in Seattle for work, he has been there for about 2 years now. He is an engineer like me but can't find work in california. A true testament to the crap that is our economy these days. You aren't alone, living in cali my whole life, I am truly solar powered as well hahaha. Yeah, the intent in reading that book was definitely to pick up on tips to improve my skill set. Communicating effectively has advantages at every level in life. As a kid and well into my teens I was very shy when meeting new people, especially females lol. However, when I met the girl of my dreams, I knew that i would lose her if I didn't man up. That's how I broke out of my shell lol =). I am glad i did because she was the best thing that ever happened to me =). I am definitely try to enjoy the now as much as I can because the then will just make me sad =). Hope, you and the kids have a wonderful weekend!
let me know if you still cant find us!
Yeah a year off would be nice. After graduating high-school, I went on to college and it was school the rest of the way. I doubled majored in electrical and computer engineering and finished in 4 years. Most people do 1 engineering degree in 4 years lol. That required me to spend my summers taking classes. Part of me wishes I took my time, but I am happy either way. Then I took 3 months off after graduating to relax. Now I am back to working lol. So I am kind of tired. I'd like to just spend a year doing some fun stuff hahaha! However, I think I need to settle myself into my career before doing this. Probably will get my masters and then after that maybe I will!I would love to do a road trip and see all the small and big stuff. I have gone to hoover dam but never to the grand canyon or yosemite. Scared of heights huh? You probably didnt climb trees as a kid! I will probably see the rain forest sometime in the near future because my father has been working in Washington for some time now. There are so many wonderful things to see and experience in this world. It would be a shame to live life without seeing at least some if not all of these wondrous things!Yeah, I am all for kid humor. I still watch cartoons when I get a chance. I love teen age mutant ninja turtles and batman!Quiet time is amazing. I think I would crazy without it. As part of being a hindu, I make time for meditation every day. It is quite amazing how peaceful it is just to silence your mind. It takes practice, but you come to a point where you are just very peaceful and calm and your mind is focused simply on the divine. If you dont meditate, you really are missing out. It doesn't even have to be spiritual meditation. Try closing your eyes and focus on your breathing for 10 minutes =). Well, I am reading a book called how to start a conversation and make friends. It was a bargain book at Barnes and Noble! I picked it up for some tips on being a better conversationalist. I am pretty good at conversation but I figured I could learn some useful things from it! So I just started that one, and of course I read my magazines as well =).Well Jenn, I enjoyed your bugging lol :). Please bug me again soon hahaha! Hope you have a pleasant and relaxing day tomorrow!
Yep, it will always be on your back too hahahah! Yeah you will enjoy India for sure. lol, I can imagine it being very hectic in your day to day activities! Be sure always make a stop at the mirror before leaving the house :P! I'd like to travel more but its hard with work cause I dont accrue vacation hours very quickly because I am new. I think at some point I will quit and take a year off to travel! I have yet to see all the neat places within our own country!I Love Calvin and Hobbs. It has a way of bringing out the little mischievous boy that's within me. I used to read Garfield more as a kid, however, I don't much anymore. Lately, I have been reading Calvin and Hobbs (of course), Dilbert, Peanuts Classic, and Doonesbury! Sounds like you had a fun weekend, I am glad! Hope you got the rest you needed =). Will talk to you later! Take care Transforming Lotus!
Wow, that tattoo looks awesome and I am sure the others do as well! Really shows the things you are passionate about =). I am spoiled here in Cali hehehe. Right now the weather is nice and the days are getting longer. If you like the heat then India is perfect lol. Its really hot there, just like the food hehehe. Indian food tends to be on the spicier side. However, there are so many unique and tasty styles to try. As you travel through India the food style will change too! You will enjoy it, I am sure! Cheers! Let us be optimistic and await the good things to come =). No worries, you will enjoy slum dog at home or on the big screen. I am going to buy the blu ray when it comes out! Looking forward to your reaction to the movie hehehe. Take care lotuskoi and stay warm!
If not tomorrow, then soon enough. I enjoy our chats! They would go great with some Indian chai tea lol :). Indian food is amazing.... very tasty. I have been a vegetarian my whole life and Indian food is soo damn tasty that I dont crave hardly anything else! When you do go to India, let me know and I will tell you some tasty places to visit! The K in my name is just a regular old k. This website might help say my name lol: http://www.pronouncenames.com/search?name=kamalMost people just say my name as Jamaal but with a K =). Wow a lotus on your back? That's pretty awesome! No tattoos for me although I might get one someday, who knows? lol :). I hope you get your koi and lotuses =). Take pictures when you do hehehe!Jenn the transforming the lotus! It definitely has a nice ring to it. Life will always change and we have to do our best to adapt. The ups and downs in life come to us in waves. We should try to have an even mind no matter what kind of wave we get! I guess 2008 was a tough one for the both of us. Here's to brighter days ahead! Cheers! We can toast to tea, I think lol. You will like slum dog and lets discuss it when you do see it because I am sure it will leave lots of questions in your mind about India and you should take advantage of an Indian when you have one around to answer them lolol. The movie was well deserving of the awards! Thanks for the well wishes! I wish you all the best as well =). Hope you and the little ones are doing well!
Dont too much, I hope you are getting some time to relax! That is interesting, I have never heard such a thing about saris. However, you are right about the american clothes, definitely a sign of class in India. Isn't the internet amazing hahaha? Havng a pen pal has extended to having friends on the internet lol. I wonder how many people still write letters back and forth. I hope you do get to go visit India one day =). The food is aaaamazing hehehe. I have been to india a few times and I am due for another trip pretty soon. In fact, most of my family lives in India. However, I have an aunt and some cousins that live in Houston. So its always nice to go back to India and be with family. Well there not be anything to brag about YET hahahhaa. You and your kids could always kick start something amazing for your family lol. And you are right, as long as you are happy in your skin that is all that matters =).Just a bit exotic, huh? lol I will take it ;). Maybe its because you didnt hear me pronounce my name that camel didn't enter your mind lol. Many of my friends lovingly call me camel to this day lol. You seem like a big fan of lotuses. Any particular reason for liking them so much? And Is your shelfari name indicative of a personal transformation that is occurring in your life? Tough question , I know lol. Work is going smoothly so far. Lately its been pretty quiet because we are all coding up our designs. Eventually a big design review will get here and then it will be time to stress hahaha. Life in general? It is going as smoothly as it could I suppose =). Last year in particular was tough because of my loss. Its amazing how my life has completely changed since then. But I am doing well and looking forward to making the most of the year ahead =). How are things with you? BTW have you seen slum dog millionaire?
Hahaha I don't expect too many non-Indians to know a lot about being a hindu hehehe. We can surely have a discussion about it sometime =). I dont know where you heard about the sari thing hehehehe. Saris are commonly worn by everyone regardless of social status. Although, the youth of India are losing much of the culture and are becoming more american. If I showed you pictures of my cousins you would wonder whether they were living in the US or not hahahaa.Japan huh? I would like to go someday myself. India is a huge country with much to see. You probably couldnt see all of India in a years time. The nice part of my life is I am a cultured Indian who was born and raised in the US. I have certainly embraced the American way of life without losing sight of my Indian roots. In fact, I would say I am more Indian than American but that's just me. Indian culture is very colorful and I appreciate its beautyLol you dont sound very enthusiastic about being white hahahaha =). Have you tried proving in to your roots more? I am sure if you asked enough family about it you will get some answers. Jenn is a nice name :) but yes its not quite like Kamal :P. Although, Jenn the transforming lotus has a nice ring to it lol. My name is fairly common in India as well but not quite the mainstream. So I am exotic to you huh? lol I think this is the first time I have been called exotic :P. Usually the first thing people think of when they hear my name is camel hahahaa =). I am glad I could be of some help! Although, your desire to be a great mom is the best thing for your kids! Hope you and the little ones have an awesome weekend!
I guess they can find the kid in me pretty easily :). Yeah, she just out of no where and her parents were surprised that she did something like that as she tends to be shy lol. I am an Indian-American born and raised in the United States. I am a practicing Hindu so the temple I go to is a Hindu temple hehehe :). And yourself, what is your nationality and religious belief system (if you have one at all) ? I do enjoy different cultures as well. Your kids are going to grow up in a very multicultural world and its always nice to expose them to new things. Your daughter will be an amazing success with her reading skills. It will open doors and her mind! You know, I would imagine that parents raise their kids slightly differently. I mean you are wiser and learned from raising your daughter so I am sure your son's upbringing is slightly different. Furthermore, circumstances are bound to be different with each child. However, you are a loving mother and your son will be just fine with you working =). And who knows what tomorrow will bring? Maybe you will be able to stay at home again at some point =). You know, we have been having these nice little chit chats for some time now and yet I do not know your name and I don't think you know me by anything other than space man lol. My name is Kamal (translates to lotus flower in hindi). And your good name Transformer lady?
It always pays to agree with the executives lol ;). I agree with you though, character is built doing the less glamorous things in life. You feel accomplished at the end of the day doing the hard work. However, you can get the same feeling running a marathon lol! Wow, congratulations on your son's new found laughing ability hehehe. Now you know its not just gas that brings a smile like expression to his face lol... I am fond of kids and they seem to be spontaneously attracted to me as well. I can't tell you how many places I have gone and had kids come up to me and start playing with me. The other day I was at my temple and this little girl, maybe 2 years old at most, walked up to me and just sat right in my lap lol and now she and I are good friends hahaha. I hope to have a bunch of kids one day =).I am not surprised about your daughter. You are an avid reader and I am sure that is something you passed on to your kids! Furthermore, having good reading skills is like a guaranteed indicator or success in life. Nice work transformer lady! You are a great mother =). Yeah enjoy him while he is still a baby because before you know it you won't be the only woman he is charming with his smile hahaha ;). Hope you are having a great week!
HAPPY MARDI GRAS!THROW ME SOMETHIN MISTAH!
