I am a scientist, and the author of the new trilogy, *The Feral World,* published by Flying Pen Press. This story takes place 3,000 years from now after an asteroid collision has caused the collapse of civilization. In this future world, people lead primitive lives as hunter-gatherers. The protagonists, a small tribe called the Kamishi, leave the harsh northern Great Plains and migrate south, seeking a better life in the mythical Warmland. The first novel, *Migration of the Kamishi,* and the second, *Trials of the Warmland,* are both currently available. The final book, *Riders of the Mapinguari,* and it is due for release in May 2009. « less
