Fran

I love reading! I enjoy a variety of genres and authors. My favorite genres being historical fiction, history/politics, and suspense. I also like self-help/ self-discovery books. I am always looking for a good read.

In addition to reading, I love spending time with my dogs, 6 Australian Shepherds, 1 collie, and a dog-dog. I also...more »

Fran - I was looking at your shelf and saw a children's book, and the line came rushing back - Ricki ticki tavi no so rembo - I read this over and over and over again for it was my son's favorite book - who has just turned 33, the books has been around a very long time. It was about mongoose wasn't it? And the love of two brothers, the other with a one syllable name?

Fran - we did visit Mammoth Caves, they were pretty cool - pun intended. To visit Maine, you'll need to practice your pronunciation of lobsters....ready?? "lob stah" - steamed with melted butter is my favorite. And believe it or not, the smaller the sweeter...I like heat too, it's the humidity that makes me feel like the witch from the Wizard of Oz..."I'm melting..I'm melting"

That's sounds nice, I would like to go up in the New England area during fall I hear it is beautiful when the leaves are changing.

I live very close to Knifely and have never been to the Festival how sad is that. I have drove by the spot visiting friends in the area though. I think that would be nice.

I have been thinking on the list...If you used something like microsoft exel to put them in abc order then it would be easier. I would do it by last name comma first. I don't have that program at home but I could work on it at work. Just let me know.

My husband and I passed through Kentucky last month- pretty country. We flew into Nashville, drove north to the Caves, and then east to the Smokies, south through NC, GA, AL where we almost met a tornado, and then back to Nashville. Coming from New England, the South seemed like a different kind of country. Congratulations of your new union.... Sheila

Hi, We just got back in town and I'm trying to catch up so sorry for the lateness in responding. I'm not sure what my answer is on your question though, could you tell me the responsibilities? Oh, I ran across a jean Ritchie and The Cumberlands Book that Maurice Sendak illustrated (I love him)so I'm going to order it from Amazon. Are you familiar with it by chance?

Thanks I only hope I can be of assistance. Let me know some things you want me to work on especially while you are gone. Are you just going to putter around in the travel trailer or settle somewhere else? No major plans we took a vacation during spring break and with my oldest in Marching band that takes up most of our time during the end of summer and the youngest in softball. So mostly work and stuff around home. I hope to visit the splash ark some in Somerset. Be careful and have fun!

Some in my dad's family were like your brother but my family is not like that. We would give all we have to one another if they were in need. My sister owns a lot of homes. When a family in their town lost everything they let them live in one of them. When the family has anything another member is in need of they give give it to them. Through the many years we have all been in differing financial situation and have always helped one another. I think it is because we grew up depending on one another because we had parents with so many problems of their own we raised ourselves. My children are grown now and they are all wonderful and unselfish. I think you should write a book. It sounds like it would make a good lifetime movie. I don't have a brother but if I had and he were like my dad we would probably not be friends. There's always at least one person in a family like your brother. I hope you are marrying a great man. I did. He drives me crazy sometimes because we are opposites but I have loved him since I was 16. My youngest daughter's marriage fell apart last week. We are hurting with her right now. She is the sweetest most beautiful person I know and doesn't deserve the way she has been treated. Your son sounds wonderful. Chasing storms is so exciting. I love all the movies made about that subject. I have never been to Florida but I think it would be a wonderful place to. I would have to visit the snow states some though. I love snow. Did I tell you my 42 year old daughter is expecting. We are just so blessed. We will have two baby girls at Christmas this year. She's still playing in tennis tournaments for fun. That worries me some. She's very athletic. Doylene

That's a good idea. I will ask him if he knows. I'm so sorry to hear about your life. Are you still getting married? I have always loved to move but I know most people don't like to. I think meteorology is a good thing to major in. It covers a large area. I saw a special last night where some of them are seeking ways to avert a new dust bowl in the south west US. I found out that watering crops has a high price to pay because it's deleting our underground water table. My family loves the history channel. Are you moving to a different state or just a short distance? I will be praying for you and your son. God bless, Doylene
