I'm an avid reader of most anything fiction. I bounce around from genre to genre and back again. I'm a 2 year member of PBS and have met some great people there. I'm hoping to do the same here with people that have the same genre tastes as me. If you are looking at my shelf, my fast growing tbr pile books are listed on the "I plan to read". The... more »

Yeah, being sick on your days off definitely sucks - much better when you're supposed to be at work. And you know what's really bad? My head hurts so much I don't feel like reading. lol
About the TV thing, in all honesty, you're not missing a whole lot! :) I remember back when my kids were small in the 1980s and our TV broke. We lived out in the country then too. I decided not to replace it and I cancelled cable. It was actually quite relaxing in the evening and we didn't miss it at all for the year we didn't have one. Then my mother went and bought us one and brought it over. lol She thought we were deprived and a little insane. So TV came back into the household and it's remained ever since. Now I have three of them and Dish. Sigh. Did you find any cat books? I volunteer at our FOL so I'll keep an eye out for you for the ones I liked. They come in quite a lot. Oh, btw, I LOVE your jewelry! That's on my list of "things to learn" soon.

I'm not sure where they went ... I'm not sure I even had them there. Like I said on PBS, sad when I have very few books now (I still have tons to add) and can't even remember what's on my shelf! lol Hey, what's with the no TV deal? :) You're going to have to get one to watch Moonlight come April and the Sookie shows on HBO! lol I'm in the throes of watching all the NCAA basketball games - all day basketball marathon because I feel lousy. Nothing like being sick on your days off. Pffft .......

    Hi,
I even got a daily calendar as a pesent to myself this year, of frogs. I am turning my favorite photos into bookmarks. I love Jeff Corwin when he talks about frogs and such. He really sees their beauty.

Well I'm done with Atonement. I don't think it's deserving of two stars (like The Jane Austen Book Club..blech!) so I'm going to give it three for the ending and some parts that I liked. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. =)

    Hi Collette,
Hey, 32 so far, not bad for books in common. It will be interesting to see what else as I'm still adding to my shelves.

    Hi,
I'm doing good, steadily adding to my shelves. :)
I am fighting with a cold, not winning yet. Hope to be more perky soon as reading has lost lots of its appeal, but I am still working hard.
Thanks for the hi. How are you doing dear one? Have I ever mentioned that I love frogs? Lol.

Oh thanks for the tip. I've rearranged my books like that but never thought to check and see if you can tag them that way. I'll need to work on that this week.

Why thank you for the kind words. The pic was taken last year so I have one more chin to show for it. LOL! I've been way too sedentary since I've been home reading so I'm trying to make up for it now. ;) I still need to tag my books. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do from my bookshelf the way the Help section describes it. It says something about a white tag button in a blue box and when you are done with a book you just hit "next" for the next book on your shelf. The only way I can do it is to hover over the book and hit add/edit tags which takes you into the book. But then you have to exit out and repeat with the next book.

Collette, are you going to rate or review your books at some point? I'd love to see what you consider 4-5 star books.

    Hi,
I am liking See Jane date. It has some funny situations. However the whole young gal in the big city stuff is a long ways from my life. I think you will like it. I'll let you know what I think of it once done. :)

The Blossom Street books can be read independently. The book I just finished is also a Blossom Street book, but other than a few quick mentions of previous characters it's all new ones.

lol - sorry 'bout that! (Not!!)Aiding and abetting is what it is. :) I'm like you though, a paperback girl. I always go for the paperback if I have an option - much easier to stick in my purse. Anyhow, #4 was great - really, really good. And very easy reading.

I've never read any "erotica" but I'm really interested. Any recommendations? I'm in the Plain Ghostly Swap, the Snow White Swap, The New Release Swap & the Royal Swappy Thingy #7. I've got quite a few credits tied up in these swaps so I can't join any more for now. But it's a great way to swap books for no credits (since you eventually get your deposited credit back) plus you can possibly move some of the books from your shelf if they qualify. I put a "watch topic" on the sign up thread in the forum because they fill up fast.
