NOTE: I use my 'I'm Reading' section as a visual guide of my library queue therefore some of the things on this list are on hold and are not in my possession. I swear I am not reading like 30+ books at a time. It does help me keep in mind what I have coming and what I currently have.

I am in my late twenties, live in the Pacific... more »

I can see why people really like this series but I do not think I'll continue it. I thought that the main character was terrible and all I wanted to do was read more about the djinni. Just pretty meh.

Really one of the best Arthurian books written. I love that it's from the women in the legend. Totally engrossing and amazing.

The story of 3 generations of woman who are Courtesans. The youngest goes and decides she wants to marry a man who is the red diamond business. She moves to Persia and he ends up getting murdered. She then has to use the skills of her family's trade to find the killer. Good but not great. Not super trashy either.

Interesting book for sure. An autistic boy's quest to find out who killed his neighbor's dog. Really good - quite bizarre.

This was really good and rich. The descriptions of the circus are the kind that are felt with all of your senses including taste, smell and touch. The story itself was good, but somehow lacking in the pace of it all. Something happened in a flash and others we're drawn out seemingly unending in parts. I don't think that that should keep someone from reading it though. It is indeed magical.

I did not like this book. I thought it was an poorly edited short story really. The language in it made it feel WAY more dated than the time frame and there was hardly any characters I really cared about. It's super short and I read it in about an hour and a half. It's ok at best but I will not continue on with the series. It's an interesting idea showcased poorly.

I enjoyed this book. I really liked Francesca and the way Rodrigo Borgia was portrayed in this. I think that it was nice to see a non-hussy version of Lucrezia as well. The description of Rome as not always clean and the telling of the Jewish quarter seemed fresh as well. The mystery itself was good and as long as you're fine with pretty outlandish plots you'll really like this.

A real family history inspires this great book. I loved it. Part Little house, Part Anne of Green gables part Hattie - it was great. I love diary-esque western travel tales and this fit the bill. Can't wait to read the next one.

Murder, lust, a good body count - Canada in the 1880s apparently? This was a good murder mystery filled with a lot of character development. A good winter night book for sure.

Such a great story of adventure. Nice for young girls to high schoolers and beyond. Lots of adventure, trips into the land of the dead, necromancy, a crazy cat companion, minimal chaste romance that enhanced the story and a strong female for the most part. It was lots of fun.
