I'm a stay-at-home mom and a former English teacher and librarian. I love to read, but seldom have the time. I'll read almost anything. I especially love the classics, but seem to be confined to themeless contemporary fiction right now. My favorite author is Beverly Lewis because I like to escape into the simple Amish world that she...more »

I just wanted to let readers know that ABANDONED IDENTITY is now available in hardcover in the CROSSINGS book club. It will be the featured alternate in the Nov. 20th catalog. This will be my first hardcover book so I am very excited.

Hi. Just joined Shelfari book club. I saw your profile and got interested. Originally I'm a facebook member and got to your book shelf by browsing the ireading section of facebook. I am a stay at home mum too with a little baby of 2 months who's called Bertrand. I'm from Malta and an English teacher too. I have was interested in buying the book of Montessori activities for children, and saw that you have it, or have read it. If I may impose, would you be so kind to give me your reviews on it. Have you tried out the activities? Was it a good buy? Are the games stimulating enough? I am quite a fan of the Montessori method, so I was very keen on purchasing the bk but first I wanted another mother's opinion.

    Many thanks.

    Hi FreeJordan,
Boy. After getting out into this jungle, I'm not sure I'd advise anyone to try to be a writer. The competition is brutal. If you have a burning passion to write, you might have a chance. In that case you need to study the craft. There are lots of books and internet help available.
There should be a group out here that has a list of those books.
    If not, I'll start one.

Hi! Thank you for the invite to be your friend. I've been away for about a week, but I'm home now, so a little more responsive I hope :) Glad to see you're in the Christian Fiction group, and I see in your top 10 list two Francine Rivers books. I really like her. I like the early Frank Peretti also. Hope to see you around Shelfari, looks like you have made a great start.
