I have always loved to read, from when I first learned how in grade school. My favorite subjects varied, as does my taste in books.
Now, I like to read romance, suspense, thrillers, true crime, and some nonfiction.
Some of my favorite authors are: Sandra Brown, Iris Johansen, Tony Hillerman, Dan Brown, Johanna Lindsey, Karen Robards, Mary Higgins Clark, Louis L'Amour, Joseph Wambaugh, Brenda Joyce, Sue Grafton, Nora Roberts, Linda Howard, Tami Hoag, Sylvia Brown and many others.
I'm also attracted to cook books, books by Sylvia Brown (psychic), and books about strange phenomenon, as well as popular fiction.
I'm not a big reader of sci-fi, fantasy, horror, or related books, but have read one on occaision, such as a Harry Potter book or two. Mostly, if I'm into that, I would rather see the movie, such as i-Robot, or other similar movies, as well as a good drama. As I like good special effects, and a good story line, with fast paced action. I could do a whole thing on favorite movies as well.
Other books I've read not listed with my favorite authors would include works such as: Silence of the Lambs, The Thorn Birds, In Cold Blood (which set the standard on true crime novels), Lonesome Dove, The Horse Whisperer, Gone With the Wind, Sacajawea, Less Than Zero, Go Ask Alice, Victim (true crime), From Cradle to the Grave (true crime), Internal Combustion (true crime), Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (nonfiction), and many books on strange phenomenon and UFOs which I find fascinating (nonfiction, I don't read much in the way of sci-fi).

I've also taught a fiction writing class for the past 10 years, have edited books for other writers, and like to write myself.
Of course I've read many more books than what are listed on my Book Shelf, but didn't want to go back too far. The ones listed are just the more recent ones, or are some of my older favorites.
