My name is FlyReader and I am addicted. My personal drug of choice? An amazing novel! Method of consumption? My BELOVED KINDLE!!! My taste is eclectic and runs the gambit. I love ALL genres and I am usually reading according to my mood. I love historical novels; I usually read a lot of regency, highlanders and African American. My favorite authors in this genre are Johanna Lindsey, Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn, Julie Garwood, Rosemary Rodgers and Beverly Jenkins. I will read anything these authors publish. If I am in need of a strong alpha male hero, then my brand of choice is Paranormal. I will read any type of characters such vampires, shape shifters, witches, demons and werewolves. My favorite authors in this genre are Stephanie Myers, Gena Showalters, J.R. Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Karen Marie Moning. If I am in the mood for a heart-racing thriller, then I will usually pull out a crime novel. The authors I like are, of course the great Steven King; as well as, Harlan Coben, Dean Koontz, Walter Mosley and James Patterson. I am a strong believer in the phrase “a good book is a good book”, so you will catch this married mother of three reading Harry Potter, Eragon, the Twilights series and loving every minute! And lastly, is urban fiction. “Coldest Winter Ever” is probably the best urban fiction book that I have read. Another notable author in this genre would be by all time favorite and hometown U of M alumni Eric Jerome Dickey! Go Tigers!!! I would add Francis Ray, Carl Webber, Kimberla Lawson Roby, Terri McMillan, Mary B Morrison and the late Beebe More Campbell. Take a cup of Java, some soft playing Jazz, sitting in a Jumbo cushy chair with a Juicy novel- my personal piece of heaven on earth! « less
