    Most enjoyable and at times laugh out loud, time travel to the 1950's of the authors childhood, a social history of life as it was lived then.

    I saw this by chance in the library and was swept away by the beautiful pictures. Looking at the images and reading the minimal text brought tears to my eyes for the love and loss it conjured. I read the authors notes about how she called it a visual novel and the process of producing the images that are aquatints, it is a labour of love, as there is no certainty how each picture will appear when printed. It vaguely reminded me of japanese woodcut prints and Beardsley and the etchings by Wilde, equisite stuff
