    Eclectic Book Club Peeps:

All righty, let's have those nominations for our next big read. What's everyone in the mood for?

Post your selections in the "Genres" thread and we'll hash it out. If that takes too much energy, I will put all genres nominated in a hat and pick one at random!

Dear Fluffy: I my novel will be one you'll give a lot of stars to. It's called HUNTING THE KING. It just hit the bookshelves last week. If you watch the YouTube book trailer, you'll get a good feel for the novel. Here are the details:

HUNTING THE KING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O'Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. ForeWord Magazine says: "Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can't come too soon." Molly is an in-your-face woman with a mysterious past who is about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

As I said, to get a good sense of how exciting the novel is check out the heart-pounding trailer for the book at http://www.kunati.books/hunting-the-king-peter-clenott/. Or you can view it on YouTube or my web site at http://www.peterclenott.com.

The sequel, TRACES OF A LIFE, has already been completed, as well, the first two books in a series with Molly O’Dwyer. In TRACES, Molly begins uncovering her own past while digging on an island in Boston harbor. Murder and cover-up and a mysterious past that many people, even those closest to her, don’t want revealed.

If you have the chance, please let me know what you think. Thanks.

Someone told me about that you can click on a person's shelf and look at the bottom left for "books in common". If you click on that, it'll show you what they are. Pretty neat! I'm going to bug all my buddies ...

    Books in common: 45

Oh ... I like all sorts of mysteries. It depends on the mood I'm in. I'm NOT fond of the courtroom type of books though.

My latest two mystery "moods" were paranormal mystery and cozies.

My son tested out (at age 16) as ADD. The tester looked very pointedly at me when she said that it's hereditary.

I'm in a very restless reading mood. I was perusing your shelves for ideas (since you have a nicely eclectic reading taste) and saw John Dunning's "Book" series. How are you liking that?

Are there authors that I may be familiar with that are similar to these books?

I thought you might be interested in a contest that I’m holding. It’s wacky, creative and ‘killer’ fun.

‘Create a Corpse’ Contest lets you name a character in my next suspense novel Divine Justice. Of course, you guessed it—the character dies. So here’s a great way to ‘kill off’ your boss, or childhood bully. ;)

For contest details, just scroll over the following URL, copy and paste into your browser. This contest is for avid readers who’d like to be part of the process. I’ve been getting lots of entries from my Shelfari friends, and I look forward to receiving yours. :)

What did you think of Prom Nights from Hell? I've been buying this series of anthologies. (The other books are NOT in the YA section of the bookstore.) I was a midge disappointed in this particular set of stories even though they're done by some top-notch authors.
