Flubberwinkle

Half of the day they call me "Athena" (my real name), the other half "Mom". Flubberwinkle is a name I created when I couldn't find a decent nickname for my blog, flubberwinkle.blogspot.com..... I get paid to dabble with computers.

How do you pack all the things you want to say to your kids while they grow... how do you condense whatever you learned in life in...in a lecture, in a book? Randy did. His children will be proud of their father's legacy. Randy Pausch inspired many and will continue to inspire many more through his book and videoed lecture. May he rest in peace.

Without a doubt, Ken Follett achieved an epic story with "Pillars Of The Earth", which I thoroughly enjoyed and was motivated to buy the and read the sequel. Unfortunately, "World Without End" was a let-down, the story line was all too predictable and at times it seemed I was reading a "book without end".

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" leaves no questions unanswered in the final installment of the series. A fitting closure for readers that followed Harry from the very beginning.

It is hard to say good-bye to this fabulously fabricated world. It was enchanting JK Rowling, thank you for the magic.

Undoubtedly one of the most complete epic novels I've read and an all-time favorite.

I was drawn to the book because of its title and cover. When I started reading it, I felt disappointed that the book might drag on and I'd have to read it because I just don't like leaving unread books. As the story unraveled I got hooked and finally couldn't put it down. Readable mystery, some suspense with an unpredictable twist that saves the "day".
