Once, every thousand years or so, a man appears whose destiny is to shake the world to its foundations. This is not the story of that man but rather of a different type altogether. In fact, there is nothing world shaking, foundational or otherwise, about the man in this story. He is a simple, quiet man content to pass the time, when he is not obliged to create wealth for others, in pursuit of the perfect book. This man has searched the pages of comedy, romance, fantsy, science fiction, magical realism, and well I could go on for quite some time. You see, this man, limits himself not at all when deciding what to read. Give him an absurdist novel by Paul Auster and he'll sit quietly for hours contemplating man's inability to understand himself. Give him a book on string theory and you may have to listen as he shares his new understanding of the structure of the universe.
So be warned that this man will borrow from you your books but give back volumes in return.
