    Actually I've seen the Movie " Interview with a vampire " and it was good. And I've got Armand's novel as a gift two years ago but not really interested !! Will it be interesting for me or a waste of time ?

    Did you enjoy Howl's Moving Castle? I found the movie a trifle odd but it's one of my 23 yr old daughter's favorite movies. I had no idea there was a book.

    I looked at our books in common shelf and discovered we certainly have the same taste in children's books! I've never had it jump out at me to such a degree before. That's what I found so entertaining.

    I read The Hepburn multiple times but it's been at least 25 years since I last read it. My taste in books has changed over time so I'd be afraid to reread it. I remember it as a rousing good historical romance. When I reread books many years later, sometimes they stand up to the test of time and sometimes they don't so I've sworn off rereading. No point in ruining fond memories and there are so many new books to read. I liked Waltari enough to seek out all of his books but they were never rereads for me. Again, it's been a long time.

    I was just on the History - Fiction group site and was seeing all of these books that I read 30 or so years ago and it got me thinking about some of the other books I'd enjoyed then and even earlier. I typed in The Hepburn and found only 3 other people had it on their shelf and you were one of them. I had never looked at your shelf because, you know, you're a cooking person. So I clicked on our books in common and laughed out loud. I think we share the most entertaining books in common list of any I've yet seen. Speaking of cooking, I need to do just that but tomorrow morning, I fully intend to peruse your 900+ shelf.

    I often wonder what it felt like to wear these gowns? I love the feel of the fabrics and would have liked to work in a theatre wardrobe with these costumes. The swish of silk is very feminine. I love your shelf, it has plenty of my favourites like Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Sherlock Holmes and Hardy. I see you like horses, my brother was a jockey in Italy before he retired.
    I am gathering some holiday reading together, but do not know which to get first, do you try to have a book for the holidays?
