I am a feminist, bookworm, and media maven. I have created this shelf, the Feminist Library, as a comprehensive list of all the feminist literary works I know and have heard of.

All books on this shelf feature one or more of the following traits:
* If fiction, main character is a positive female role model, and/or defies the constraints of stereotypical femininity or female gender roles.
* Written as a conceptual exploration of being a woman and/or being female
* Written as a critique, explanation, or deconstruction of male domination, mass consumer culture, or the patriarchy
* An academic text expanding and refining feminist theory
* A textbook of key feminist theories and prinicpials
* Required reading for feminists and potential feminists!
