    no complaints here. i need to peruse a bit more, but if anything it shall keep me motivated to maintain religious reading habits which i so often fail to do. i noticed your collection of books is far more eclectic than mine. i'm quite floored & impressed. & you are yet another person who holds the dharma bums in high esteem. i'm gonna have to give it a whirl. greg & i were discussing books last nite, so i may be lending you guys some books sometime soon. also, check out forgottenbooks.org. that website has thousands of books online that you can read for free.

    That's Ken Follett, right? I've never read anything by him, though he's on my "I plan to read" list. I've been writing some lately- my creativity comes in spurts. I am reading "Digital Fortress" by Dan Brown- it is so-so so far. I will have read all four of his books when I am through with this one. I am not sure what I'll read next, but my budget is dictating right now that I use the library instead of purchasing books...that's about it. Don't be a stranger. Jason

    No judgement here- there is much to be said for sentimentality. I am re-reading the Dale Carnegie self-help books- they really helped me when I was in high school- a long time ago- so no guilt for guilty pleasures! Jason

    Hi- I was just writing to let you know the same thing that Maria O did- I got your invitation to Daniel Quinn, but unfortunately I am not familiar with his work- maybe I will check something out sometimes. Have you read the other Mitch Albom book that has been popular- "Tuesdays With Morrie"? I haven't read it, but was curious about it.

    "The Known World" by Edward P. Jones (very Faulkner-esque, but without the stream-o-consce.)
    "The Journey to the East" by Herman Hesse
    "Giovanni's Room" by James Baldwin
    ANYTHING by Virginia Woolf or Vladimir Nabokov
