Hi Farrah. Best wishes with your studies. It must be a blast reading all those books. Hopefully the workload is practical in the classroom too. I'll keep you posted on my next title as well- still deciding if it's YA or general literary fiction.
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you...A Reliable Wife is very different from any other books I have read. The storyline is a bit rehashed from others, but the writing is what makes it stand out. I am really enjoying it.
Scandinavian-- I have read one Wallender (I think that's spelled correctly, I don't know) by Mankell, The Girl with..., and am about to try Last Rituals by Yrsa Son...sp? It's on my shelf as well. I enjoy reading books from any other country, Scandinavian or not. Personally, I wasn't taken with the Wallender book, but have heard wonderful things about the BBC series. Try your best to get through Girl With...Tattoo. It is worth the read, even though the first few chapters are a bit long-winded, and (in my opinion) it could use some more editing.
Congrats on your last year of grad. school!
