“a very simple yet gripping book. couldnt put it down after starting reading it.. really open up my eyes on the 'outsider' history view of Islam. The last chapter is a bit preachy, but still worth it..”

“I have to say that this is one of a 'hell of a ride' read i had. It starts at a very slow pace, but then, wham, it gives you what u always wanted to see in a comic book. just love it!”

“This is my 1st A.G. book and the most favourite.. The story unfolds like a 'slasher movie', but with more depth and atmosphere. The ending is still very surprising.”

“saya perlu mengaku, saya adalah di antara yang tidak 'merasa apa-apa' setelah selesai membaca buku ini, buku yang dikatakan oleh ibu saya buku terbaik yang pernah ditulis dalam bahasa Melayu/Indonesia. Maafkan saya tapi saya tak dapat 'sirr' buku ini. Mungkinkah saya perlu membacanya sekali lagi?”

“Kalau mahu sebuah buku terjemahan Quran Inggeris terbaik, buat saya, inilah yang mutakhir (walaupun saya tahu, pengkaji Quran akan menyenaraikan yang lebih baik), senang dibaca dan puitis.”

“Love it! Something like a 'fantastical' intepretation of Kenneth Anger's Hollywood Babylon. Maybe a bit long at certain places but the story arc, the characteristic (a mix of a Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and Ice Queen with very very horrific twist) shows Barker at his best. Would love to go trough it again one more time (just like watching a good movie) a visit the Devil's Country.”

“Antara buku terpenting keluaran Dewan. Buku yang 'mesti ada' pada setiap rak penulis kreatif yang mahu bermain-main dengan kata-kata atau memperluaskan kosa kata. Mungkin bukan seperti tesaurus, tetapi punya 'fungsi' yang banyak menolong penulis memperlihat gaya yang lain bila menulis dan menyusun suatu ayat.”
