Ice in my veins, blood in my eyes
Hate in my heart, love in my mind
I've seen nights full of pain, days of the same
You keep the sunshine, save me the rain
I search but never find, hurt but never cry
I work and forever try, but I’m cursed, so never mind

One of my all time faves and possibly THE best chic lit I've ever read. This book hosts a hilarious and relatable cast of characters: a sassy divorcee that hits the lottery as she divorces her husband, a greedy ex-husband willing to kill to remain a "kept man" and a hot new love. The cover misleads you with sweetness but oh this book is so much more.

Very believable chic lit from the characters to the love story with a few laugh outlouds intertwined. Great intro for me to J. Cruise; looking forward to reading more of her books.

Would have loved it if not for the disjointed ending. Why oh why must Sherrilyn start off so strong and then just get tuckered out?

Profund insight of death and grief. Eliciting tenderness and sympathy this book hit home on many levels for me. Even when blinded by tears, the many unexpected twists will command your attention. The most powerful line in the book: When was it all right to let go not only of the dead but of the living - to learn to accept? Bravo Alice Sebold!

Beatdowns and freakdowns alpha male style. Wolfer, brother #2, fulfills his destiny with Alys, the love of his life. Alys' story is attention grabbing; I loved her character. Wolfer is there to protect and serve- and he serves her up right proper.

Finally a story that has the who, what, when, where, why and WOW! Couldn't stop reading the first book in the tale of eight magical brothers fulfilling their destinies. The storyline made sense, there was a perfect balance of action and ooh, la, la and a cliffhanger ending. Great intro to a new author and series.

A candid and truly disturbing tale of abuse in every way possible.

Started out fresh and exciting but quickly turned into convolution.

Don't miss this ride with the Wild Riders. First book I've read by Jaci Burton and it definitely won't be the last. Unique story that keeps you guessing. The love scenes are realistic and hot like fiyah. The big finale was a little long with too many details but overall this is a must if you're looking for a hot read.
