Ice in my veins, blood in my eyes
Hate in my heart, love in my mind
I've seen nights full of pain, days of the same
You keep the sunshine, save me the rain
I search but never find, hurt but never cry
I work and forever try, but I’m cursed, so never mind

Hi Lisette. You asked me for my thoughts on the Michael Youssef book. First, let me say that the book is very well written and easy to read. So easy I just blew through it and had to go back, take my my time and reread many parts because I want to completely understand the concepts. Suffering of any type is not something that is easy to understand or explain. We don't want that for our children so why does God allow it for us sometimes? The story of the prophet Elijah is used in the book to explain despair, depression, world weariness, and common attitude mistakes.
God is the Creator and He is in control of every detail. He knows not just the number of hairs on your head but he has them numbered. He knows where # 99 is and that #86302 is stuck to the back of your shirt. That is a comforting notion.
Christians are not exempt from the struggles and troubles that come from living in this world but they have an advantage. A God who loves them is nearby and a Savior that provides the ultimate victory over sin and death.
It would take awhile to go over the main points that were in the book. I could send you more info if you'd like.
    Have a great weekend :)

nice poem up there, Lisette. It's dark but I like it. I loved Christina Dodd's darkness chosen series. Let me know what you think of storm visions :)

The hunger games is an exeptional read, and I would recomend it to anyone who can read, thanks for reading the review. And that is interesting about those lyrics, I have listened to his songs many times, but I never heard anything so... poetic.

Hey! Haven't been on here in forever. I need to find time to chat more often. Work has been busy and of course when I get home it's even busier!! After having the baby, things got crazy. House was damanged in a tornado about a month ago so we have been busy getting things repaired and everything. Doing fine though. How about yourself? Staying busy?

Hey Z - how is your weekend going so far. We are working on E2 all weekend and I was thinking of you. I hope you choose to be a part of this. I think you would love it immensely. Nothing like having a career based upon your passion. We SO need to talk about it some time soon to see what you really think - REALLY think :) Okay - well I love you lots - and wish we could hang every weekend. I hate that you frickin' live so far away :( But I am willing to go down there - so invite me someday :) XOXOXO my friend - Love P

Dalton is just below the Tenn. Line - we are about 20 minutes south of chattanooga and 90 miles north of Atlanta. Losing a sister has been a difficult thing to go thru but she was so sick with cancer that I could not want her back to suffer. Thanks so much for your kind words.
I use to be all into Chicklit but now it is mostly the paranormal and funny books like Jen Lancaster - she is so awesome!! Snarky is a good word for her. I also love Celia Rivenbark - a great southern lady.
I have just started reading the first book in the Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost - have you read those? I met your friend when we were in Athens for a conference on Infinite Campus - I think we have similar jobs. Being the nosy gal that I am when I saw she was reading a paranormal book had to talk to her!!! Everyone makes fun of me and my love for the paranormal books. I just cannot help it!!! I LOVE them. Can't wait to check out your shelves.

Hey Kitty Kat - LOL about the wenches guild - I agree 100% - lame :) Harvey and I are working on E2 or Enchanted Eden all day today. I can't wait to really talk with you about it. I still want you apart of this. There is just so much chemistry between us when we start talking books - I can just picture a camera there or a microphone and it being really fun and engaging for other people to watch/listen - you know what I mean? You should totally go to the bbq. Zsadist could be there waiting for you :) Seriously - he could be! He is out there Katrina - but he can't find your house without knowing where you live - get your booty out there. I want to see you glow with joy. Ditto about this week. I could hang with you all the time and not get bored and always be happy. Again - all about the chemistry :) Love you lots my friend. I am reading Burning Wild by Christine Feehan. I decided to come back to it after you told me that you really enjoyed it. I am so glad that I listened to you. I am totally digging the book for now :) TTYL - XOXO Fury
