The thing I have discovered about my reading habits is that I simply read to be entertained. I read to be taken away from all the mundane things in life. I pick up a book to escape the cooking and cleaning, the bills and home repairs, the job worries and health concerns.

For the short span of time that a book is in my hands nothing exists but the story.
I sit with a book to travel to worlds and lands that real life won't let me reach. As I once read, "The pages of books are holes to other worlds." It's true, and I like that fact. « less
