I love reading. I have for a very long time. I still love the books I loved when I was twelve…although I’ve also started to love a whole bunch of other books too…

My other loves include birds, my (rather haphazard) garden, my bike, the environment and other related greenie stuff :)

I wish I could remember the names of lots of really great books I read years ago. I sometimes think of something I once read and want to read again but can’t remember what it was called or who wrote it. Now days my time is mostly taken up by reading text books, but I try to read as much as I can.

I’m also an avid fan fiction fan! Some of the best stories I’ve read have been unpublished fan fiction…brilliant authors sitting in their bedrooms at age 16 turning out stuff that’s better then a lot of books I’ve read.

My books tend to be fantasy or science fiction, have a leaning towards strong female heroes and also look to sit around the age of young adult fiction. But there is also a lot of variation in there too! The only books I wont read are really scary ones… I can’t even watch semi scary movies and books are much more scary.. So I have to avoid them or I find myself sitting on my bed with all the lights on not being able to sleep for nights afterwards…and if anything reminds me of it, even weeks or months later, I’m off again… otherwise, throw anything at me and I’ll give it a read! « less
