I'm a voracious reader, and will read just about anything... and quickly. I try not to buy books, unless I've read them from the library first (which I think I hold the record for largest single fine... bleh). But that's not always the case, and so I have many bookshelves and boxes full of books. So far, this sight has been a great nostalgic... more »

I think you would really like the disreputable history of frankie landau-banks by e lockhart. I love it and it reminds me of some of the books I read based on your fantastic list.

Dear Evil Miss: How evil are you? I am an author from New England. If you're truly evil, you might like to take a look at my new novel HUNTING THE KING. The novel revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O’Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother die in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother’s death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college. Now an archaeologist, she has been recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to discover whatever or whoever is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As an observant Catholic, she is scared that whatever she finds will have devastating consequences for her faith. There is a wonderful YouTube book trailer well worth watching if you have the chance. If you do get to see, please let me know what you think. If you don't, I'll consider you truly evil. Thanks. Peter

Yay! We're friends! Your shelf is so spookily similar to mine that I wanted to make sure I keep up with what you're reading! So, what's the best Christopher Moore? I tried Lamb and couldn't get into it but now I'm reading Dirty Job and I LOVE IT!

I know! I look at your shelf and realize that I have read a bunch of the same ones, just haven't entered them. And, as to you adding books on work time, I'm sure you get more work out of 4 hours than most get out of 8, so enter on my lovely daughter of whom I am most proud.

Wow - you took a little break from reading to post your "reads" COOL! I think I will check out How I live Now...Looks very good. And just how big was the fine? Sharon had one that was over 70.00. I had one that was 105.00 but I talked them down to 50% because they didn't quite have their records right, close, but not totally factual. It is how I support the library!
