I've always been an avid reader. I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere, so it was my main hobby. Now I'm in my 6th year working at a bookstore. I realized I was starting to re-read things I'd already finished, so this site seemed a good way to keep track. I'm 26 with two toddlers, but I waffle between being eternally 16 or a self admitted "old soul". I like well written Juvie/teen books, science fiction/fantasy (a mix of hard and soft, depending on my mood, but I'm always down for classics), classics, book versions of my favorite blogs, history books, horror and post-apocalyptic ANYTHING, or whatever I can finish in my lunch break at work so I don't have to buy it, lol.
Favorite authors are Mervyn Peake, Howard Phillip Lovecraft, or any of his proteges (especially August Derleth), Edward Gorey, Stephen Baxter, Ray Bradbury, Mercedes Lackey, Anne McCaffrey (don't laugh!), Jane Yolen, Jim Butcher, Douglas Adams, Janes Herriot, Gart Nix, L. Montgomery Ward, etc.
Francoise Sagan - "The one thing I regret is that I will never have time to read all the books I want to read."
