eponymous 74

Hi,

My name is Mary. I am 34 and have been married for 14 years. I have a 12 year daughter and a 5 year old son. I have been working at a transportation management company for the last 10 years, and absolutely love my job.

I have joined Shelfari to help make reading more of a priority, and to read a broader range of books. more »

Welcome to 1001 books. You can keep track of the books you have read from the book, 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die, join in the discussions on the books we are reading for the month (BOTM) or you can debate the merits of the list as some enjoy doing. We hope you will want to join in the choosing of BOTM and the discussions. The current books are pinned to the top for that month. There are older discussions that can be found by searching discussions. If there is any way the group administrator can help further feel free to ask one of us. If you don’t own the book the list can be found at the top in the group description or at http://www.listology.com/content_show.cfm?content_id=22845. A downloadable list of the second edition is available at http://johnandsheena.co.uk/books/?

Hmmm. I highly prefer it to The Reader, but I love Jane Austen, and I don't really care for this one. If it's possible, I think it might be even wordier than Austen.

Sorry I couldn't help you, glad you didn't really need my help anyway. How's Rebecca coming for you? Not impressed, so it's been a difficult read for me. Better get back to reading.

Hello, Named-After-Yourself! Did you like Angela's Ashes? For me it was good, brilliant, and I hope never to open it again.

Hi there! I'm just dropping by to welcome you to The 100+ Book Challenge. The idea of the group is pretty much self explanatory - try to read 100 or more books in a one year period. If you do have any questions, please feel free to send a message to me or Tenia. In the meantime, good luck reaching your goal!

Nick bought me a kindle for my birthday so I am trying to find the time to read more. It is getting a little easier now that the kids are getting older. I think this will really help me when I can't figure out what to read. Thanks for the recommendation!

That's fine. I would have waited if my library had even had a copy. It's a good book, so I don't mind owning it.
