  Part of it. It's very cool! You would be best friends with my cousin. She is obsessed with Lord of the Rings! I kinda am too... I'm in a symphony choir and we're singing Lord of the Rings music Live with the movie. It's pretty awesome.

  Well, if the Tolkien books are getting a little boring because you know them really well, you could always read lots of other things for awhile. Then re-read Tolkien when the books aren't so fresh in your mind anymore. Peace,

  Cool, and the movies were good but the director's vision isn't the same as the reader's. I don't know much about the history, other than I think Tolkien was thinking of World War II in Europe (Sauron as Hitler, the Shire as England, etc). Makes sense, but don't know that I could prove it!

  Loved it. It was one of the first epic fantasy novels that I ever read, in middle school I think. And I credit Tolkien with inventing the epic fantasy genre and for truly inspired world-creation. Faulkner invented a county in great detail... Tolkien made a whole world! Peace,
