I was verbally gifted and socially dysfunctional growing up, creating the perfect recipe for a bookworm. From my earliest memories I've been an avid reader. I read a lot of cheesy stuff in middle and high school: Dragonlance, Stephen King, Terry Brooks, etc. I enjoy fantasy and science fiction predominately. I love Douglas Adams. I've read all the Sherlock Holmes stories. Trashy romance novels are my guilty pleasure. I also enjoy science non-fiction, such as Hawking's works. Recently, I've decided to expand my horizons to include more nonfiction, especially in the political and historical departments.

On a more personal level I'm happily married and the mother of two children, both boys aged 4 months and 6 years. I'm a High School Chemistry teacher. I majored in Biology as an undergrad and am going to school currently for a Master's in Science Education. I'm taking 1 year off of work to be a stay at home mom with my youngest. « less
