A blast, rightly so, at the Lone Star State. Well documented.

A wonderful read. Goolrick writes of evil and good. Of love and hate. And does so in a wonderful storyline of texture and vibrance. Also a quick read as it is not only very well written, the plot keeps you turning the pages.

This is a must read for those interested in the radical changes American society is going thru (really any student of history). It is a quick read by one of American's great historians. I am only surprised at myself for not reading it sooner. The ideas and writing are without equal on the topic.

Simply awesome. Caro is perhaps the finest political biographer of our time. I plan on reading the previous three on LBJ and, like many, hope he is able to complete the 5th, and last in this lifetime of research and writing. It is 20th Century history as viewed through the lens of both LBJ and the US Senate.

Fun read. Not at all deeply researched but gave a wonderful feel for JFK, the man. Matthews, clearly loved Kennedy, but does a good job of being balanced in his writing. Some very good anecdotes.

Fun one day read. Bolitar and his friend Win are likable and fun characters. Plot a bit too thick but who cares? It was a nice way to spend the day

Connelly continues to be among the best in the genre. Real characters and real plots. Harry B is a guy I will keep reading about as long as Connelly writes about him.

The best book on West Point since The Long Grey Line. Much more contemporary, fun but less thorough.

A story of almost unbelievable strength and courage in incredibly adverse situations. Nearly ruined by the authors vitriol of the American Left and his belief that liberals are too soft to "win wars". Its as if he watch two episodes of Hannity and thinks he knows politics. He clearly knows war and for that I truly thank him and salute him.

Simply put, a different and cogent viewpoint of today's geopoliticis. Must read for all serious thinkers. Fabulous stuff.
