I am a middle school Language Arts and Social Studies teacher who enjoys watching football, scrapbooking, solving crosswords, and spending time with friends.

Yes, I love to read as well! It is difficult to find time to read during the school year, but I set a goal to read at least two books per month. Most of the books I read fall into a few select genres, although I try to venture out of my comfort zone every now and then. From my shelf, you will see that I read Christian fiction and non-fiction, memoirs, young adult fiction, and a splash of general fiction. I select my books based on book club lists, suggestions, best seller lists, and most of all by browsing the library shelves. I have a strong emotional imagination, so I shy away from reading anything horror-related or with disturbing topics.

I am looking forward to discussing literature with others in this forum. I am sure I will learn about some great new titles! « less
