Hey Elwood,I had the very good fortune of meeting John Connolly just last week as he was on his US book tour. Very nice guy.Coincidentally, the Black Angel was the first I read of his too. I think that and The Killing Kind are my favorites of his.

I normally eschew condiments. However, if I found the work to be very dry, I might serve a reduction of the foreword or 'about the author' section along with the book.
