I can't remember a time when I wasn't reading. Probably most of the people on this site could say the same thing. My mother taught me to read around age 2 or 3 in order to get me to give her a break from reading to me. Not that she stopped, she just got to do something else in a 24 hour stretch.

I can't remember a time when I wasn't reading. Probably most of the people on this site could say the same thing. My mother taught me to read around age 2 or 3 in order to get me to give her a break from reading to me. Not that she stopped, she just got to do something else in a 24 hour stretch.

Sometime about age 11 I got interested in Napoleon Bonaparte and the era surrounding him. I've been collecting books on Bonaparte, the First Empire and Regency period ever since and was amused to find how many books I'm coming across on my shelves where no one else here seems to own one as well.

Other interests include in no particular order; coin and medal collecting, photography, science fiction and fantasy, history in general. Let's face it, anything sedentary! « less
