Public Notes

  • Azu

    Azu says

Robin Hobb's 'Liveship Traders Trilogy' (sort of piratey with ships that are alive, ooh), Juliet Marillier's 'Sevenwaters Trilogy' (celtic, steeped in history, based on 'The Six Swans' fairy tale), Storm Constantine's 'The Chronicles of Magravandias' (magic, dragons, forbidden love, intense characters).

Those are some of my favourites and they're all very different from one another. If none of them look interesting, let me know if you have a more particular vibe in mind that I can try to suggest a match for.

Did they active in same century? i think Dostoyevsky is one of the leader of idealism movement. i like his "White Night" most. The Idiot is also good. Thanks for giving information.

Thanks for starting the group I was thinking of starting on Shelfari! ;o) I have an MA in literature with a concentration in world lit...specifically Japanese literature. The Sailor... is one of Mishima's most accessible books, and I can't wait to start discussing it with the rest of the group! ;O)

I thought there was a "potholder kit" that helped you make potholders. That's how I made them when I was a kid. Never tried knitting... interesting :)

"you-know-who" is obssessed. here's what HE SAYS we're experiencing: "Some people do not enjoy group work. However, I believe that most of you are producing better quality work than if you undertook it alone. You can rely on each other, bounce ideas around, approach things from different directions, learn from one another, etc. And it gives you valuable experience you can take with you beyond the walls of education." he's delusional!! HELP ME!!
