Hey, I thought Lone Survivor was pretty good. It was really interesting to read about something that happened so recently, and something that I remember reading about and following in the news when it happened. A definate change of pace from other SEAL books where they talk about things that most civilians have never heard about, and in most cases happened before I was born. Even though my political thinking is more or less in line with his it's a bit too political for me at times (He loves Bush and Texas, I get it, move on) but other than that I loved it.
Thanks for the tip on the Sharpe movies. I'll have to check those out!
Hi ElSorry that so much time has passed between visits on Shelfari. This book was very realistic and hard for me to read at times. My approach was to read in small increments. I do recommend. Sometimes, what really is - is not so easy to digest.
How is the book Eragon?
I have not read lone survivor yet. I always display the top ten New York Times hard cover non-fiction books. I am currently reading a six volume biography on Thomas Jefferson by Dumas Malone. It is an excellent account of his life.
