Kathryn Gilbert was in New York when she received the 3AM call, telling her the mutilated body of her fiancé Marcus had been discovered in the cottage. Needless to say, her life was shattered, but grief turns to hurt as detectives begin to unravel evidence which points an accusing finger at her personal assistant, Julie Adams. Only one stalwart detective seems unconvinced that this murder is simply a love affair gone bad... but why?
AUTHOR BIO:
Christine Stokoe was born in Carlisle, Cumbria and initially trained to be a hairdresser. But her call to write led her to an interest in Forensic Science where she researched real crime and received inspiration to help in her writing. Element of Risk has been a long-term project. Finally, after moving to Cyprus, she found writing compelling and completed her manuscript. She has been married to her husband, Michael for 30 years. They have two sons, Jonathan and Daniel.
