The pre-release copies of the second book in the Nan's Heritage Series, Elk's Resolve, have arrived. I expect that my publisher, Tate Publishing and Enterprises will officially release it later this spring/summer.

"Elk's Resolve" picks up the story from "Nan's Journey". That said, it is a stand alone book and readers will enjoy it... more »

Thank you for your kind words and prayers. Despite the last several years of his life being a painful journey through Alzheimer's, we have seen God's goodness and mercies and we are grateful. :)

Hi Elaine! I'm from the Author Author group and just wanted to welcome you to our group. As you might already know, January's "featured" author is Neil Gaiman, and we have two "secondary" authors, Ursula Le Guin and Terry Pratchett. If you're interested, you can choose a book written by one of these three authors, and after you've read it, please come post a review and star rating so the rest of us in the group know what you read and whether you liked it or not. Happy Reading!

I know my welcome is a bit late, but we're just getting caught up!

Elaine, How did you like 'Girl of the Limberlost'? I so love that book. I think my favorite part was when she had no school clothes and her Aunt Margaret stayed up late into the night boiling? patterns and sewing for Elnora. And also when her hardhearted Mom finally repented and knocked herself out trying to be the Mother Elnora needed.

Hi Elaine, thank you for the friend invitation. I have so enjoyed and been blessed by Grace Livingston Hill books. And wow, all the wonderful new Christian fiction authors out there. How wonderful! How impressive that you also are an author! I must look for your books. I'm going to enjoy browsing your bookcase. Have a nice day!

    Hi Elaine.

Love to be one of your friends here on Shelfari. We have a lot in common, including MOPS. I worked with our local MOPS group many years ago when my children were young. It's a wonderful organization for mothers.

    Many blessings to you,

    Bonnie Leon

Hi Elaine, I'd be very glad to be your friend---thanks for the invite. By the looks of it, we share a love for several authors & therefore books. You also have several books on your shelf that I'm planning on buying over the next several months (hopefully). I also like Grace Livingston Hill but only have 1 of her books as I have trouble finding them in the stores here. Hope you had a lovely Christmas & wish you a Happy New Year. Friends, Anne

    Hello Elaine,
Wishing you a blessed Merry Christmas!
    Your friend,
    Elisabeth

    I 'd like to

    create these days,

    a huge Christmastree

    very special

and I'd put on it instead of gifts

    the names

of all my friends. Those very close to me

and you, Diana so far away. My forever friends and

    you always.

I meet with some every day but you, I miss you

    so so much.

Someone I always remember and I forgot a few from time to time.

The reliable and the absent-minded. Friends of happy times

and other of rough times. Those never again will I hurt

and those that I have been hurt sometimes. Those I got to know deeply

and those that I've just met once and judge by

    appearance.

Those who owed me something and those that I owe them a lot.

The humble friends and the VIP friends.

That's the reason I name all of them, every friend in my whole life

You, who will get this message and they who never get it.

A tree with deep roots because your names will never be unroot out.

A tree which will blossom next year for you all, with happiness, health, love and peace.

I wish I could have gone to you so that I could have shared my hearfelt wishes of hope, generousity,

    cheerfulness,

    warm-hearted thoughts

    of joy for everybody who

    has lost everything.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
