Oh Eivind! How nice to see you here on this website! Oh, yes, I finished reading " the kite runner" a couple of hours ago and I should admit that it was indeed a very touching novel. I couldn't keep back my tears and they were streaming down my cheeks while reading it. Specially the part, the climax, where Hassan was raped. I love this novel because of the simplicity of the sentences and the pure honesty in it. To be honest, this is the first novel I have read that had a very nice and simple use of the words. I always have difficulty reading some English novels, but this one really surprised me. I could read it so fast without the need even to check a word and read back a sentence again. Let me say, I loved it. How about you? I would love to know your opinion about this book as well :) You know, I started reading one of Jane Austen's novels, sense and sensibility. I had to read one paragraph for three or fourth times in order to understand what she had to convey. It was tough , at least for me. I gave up on reading that novel because I really couldn't get what I was reading and it kind of got me bored. See what I mean? Anyway, write me back and let me know what you think! :)
