I have left my full time nursing job with both regrets and anticipation for what is ahead. I will continue on a random part time basis but no longer have the responsiblity each and every day. I will miss it and I am eager to get on with the next chapter. More time to read and ponder my own wants. Maybe I will be able to answer the question... more »

Hi Peggy. The book I was thinking of this afternoon was "The Matchmaker of Perigord". Have you read it? I thought it was a wonderful book.
I'll have to look to see if I still have it, but I don't think I do. Have you read The Art Forger? That is a good book. It's a novel based around
the art heist at the Isabella Gardner Museum in Boston. It's fiction, but the robbery did take place and they still have not recovered the paintings.
The frames remain empty in the museum where the paintings were. Good to see you this afternoon.

Thanks. I'd love to borrow it. I'm planning on being there Sunday. Coming to Community Circle on Monday? No project required, even though that's what Peter said in his e-mail. Just took Jeffrey to the airport this evening, so it's an empty nest again.

Did you say you had or had not read The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton? Have you read The Distant Hours or The House at Riverton, also by her?

Peggy! What's this? Your shelf says you are not reading anything at the moment. Can this be true? ;-)

I think I would. It's not as good as The Discovery of Witches, but nonetheless it is very good and gives you something to think about. It takes place in a time when the "old times" in this book are back when there were computers, electricity, automobiles, etc. I'll pass it along when I'm finished, if you like.
    It reads pretty quickly.

Mrs. Eiss, you put me to shame.....I'll never catch up to you and all of the books you've read! I don't get on Shelfari enough. I wish every time you wrote a review it
would just come to me by e-mail ;-) I love looking at your reviews to see what I should read next.

Thinking about taking "Rebecca" with me to Germany... is it a good travel book or will I want to take something that I can pick up and put down more easily?
    Love ya!

I just finished A Grown Up Kind of Pretty and really liked it. I bought the book, so don't get it and I'll give it to you when you come. Also, you really should read The Lost Hours by Karen White. It's on the kindle. It really makes you think and wish you'd have paid more attention to the stories you Moms, Grandmas told you.

As you will see, I have listed four books as "I'm reading". Not true, I have read them but just haven't had time to give my opinion of each. I've been slammed busy for too long! I'll try to update ASAP.

Did you get my message about the White House Chef mysteries? They're really interesting. They talk alot about DC, etc. and there's recipes at the end. There are 3 of the 5 on the Kindle. Love..
